hello fello bloggers. hope this finds you well.

NEWS: (you will notice that most of our news is about william. This is probably because he is the most exciting thing going on in our lives right now.)

william is now over a month old. hes getting longer and a little bit chubbier...but not much. sarah and i notice these things, but its difficult for anyone else to really see much of a change in him yet. he's sleeping more at night for the most part. so that has been pretty nice. he's really just a good baby. he doesnt cry or fuss too much, and when he does its not that hard to figure out why. he's just cute all the time... and he doesnt even try to be. i guess you could say that he's a lot like me in that regard.

as for sarah and i, most of out time is spent taking care of the baby. (go figure, right?) but it is nice living by parents who dont mind watching him for us. we have been able to go on a couple dates n stuff since he was born; pretty nice privilege there. i also rigged up a cable to an antenna on our roof, so now we have basic cable. which means that now we can watch american idol and office and hells kitchen and lame made -for- t.v. movies, and depressing news programs, etc... (we try not to watch it that much.) and we go on walks, and today i went with sarah to the gym. im also continuing school, focusing on building my window cleaning business and rock climbing. good times. hard times. the best of times. (that should be a slogan for a news broadcast team.)

wazuuuuuuuuuup?????????

hey everybody! hows it goin? things are going great here. we both feel like our lives have been turned upside down and shaken and baked at 350, but we are doing great. william is healthy and happy most all the time. he is having some intestinal bowel problems and he doesnt sleep as much as we thought he would, but all that is normal...thats what the doc says. i feel like i could call the doctor and tell him that william is growing fur and has metal claws protruding from his knuckles like wolverine...and he would say that it's all normal. he is a little over a week now and he looks really good. he's not yellow anymore and he's already starting to fill out a little bit. it will be cool when he starts smiling and laughing. its impressive that he can hold a straight face through all of the weird faces and noises that are made at him.
(on a lesser note) as for me, i am happy that it is slowly starting to warm up here. This winter really wasnt that bad. Im just glad to see the snow melt. It makes window washing a heck of a lot easier too. by the way, go to www.bestreakfree.com its a website that mike and i are having made for our business. its not all up and running yet, but i think its pretty awesome.

New Baby, New Blog

On Friday, February 20th 2009, at precisely 4:52 p.m. Sarah and I welcomed William Bryan Nolte into our family. Ill give a brief overview on how it all played out: I was doing homework until 2 am Friday morning. When i went to bed it woke Sarah up, so she got up to go pee. Fifteen seconds later i was beckoned to the bathroom. I opened the door and all i saw was blood EVERYWHERE. No, just kidding. But Sarahs water had broken, so we hurried around gathering a bunch of stuff together, and then we hurried on down to the hospital. Surprisingly, Sarah wasnt hurting much at all. Minor cramps was all she had for quite a few hours. Time really flew by in that hospital. I think around 5am she started having those Braxton Hicks pain, contraction things. (braxton hicks? i had never heard that term until the hospital. sounds like an american idol contestant name or something.) Sarah tried dealing with the pain for a couple hours, but it got too intense so she asked for the epidural. (i might be spelling things wrong) Basically that made her feel fine and dandy for the next 8 to 9 hours. Then she had the baby. I dont get emotional very often. Probably because i'm a cold, bitter, heartless person. But it was really amazing to see william. I thought id be grossed out, but i wasnt. It didnt even phase me. It was all very surreal. He was so long, and thin, and perfect! His hands were HUGE, and his feet looked like they belonged to a five year old. A true Nolte. I was awe stricken at the sight of him. An overwhelming feeling of acceptance and pride came over me; Fatherly feelings i hadnt ever felt before. i started crying. Probably more than william. Sarah did a very good job. A GREAT job. Overall we think the pregnancy went very well. No major problems. William did have a knot in his umbilical cord though. The doc said many babies die from that. So that was a little miracle too. This blog entry is becoming very long and i should be doing homework. I must write faster. After a couple days we went home from the hospital. Our home is very peaceful and serene now that william is here. We dont sleep hardly. (i can almost hear all of you saying "well you just wait, you aint experienced nothin yet!") and basically we are just trying to figure stuff out. But sarah is doing well, william is well. He just pumped out a massive turd here on my lap. That must mean he's healthy. thanks to everyone, for your love and support. We dont have too many pictures yet; we'll have more very soon. We wish you could all see him. He's a cutie-b-tootie!
